We’ve been asking our guests to share their reasons for coming to Cloverley Hall, to help you get a sense of what it’s like here. Read on to find out why groups love Cloverley and come back again and again.

More than a building

Cloverley is the perfect base for our retreat, with both its idyllic setting and excellent facilities. The large coach house space offers an invaluable opportunity for us all to gather and learn about God’s work in the talks, worship as a group, watch films and even do the occasional barn dance. The lounges and large dining areas mean we can grow in fellowship, relax and eat together comfortably. The stables and crèche rooms provide space for our young people work, games and for reflection. The food options are great and Adrian (the chef) and his team always do their best to accommodate allergies, help with menu choices and they consistently provide food which is wholesome and tasty. And of course the beautiful grounds, many walks and the amazing swimming pool give lots of space and endless fun. The whole setting gives us such space and freedom whilst also bringing us closer together!

“Cloverley is of course more than the building. The staff there are wonderfully welcoming and go above and beyond to ensure that we have a great retreat. As someone who now organises our yearly retreat I cannot put into words what a blessing Nicky and her team are to me, our church family and all others who visit Cloverley. It is a joy to visit a place where God’s love is clear to see and where his beauty is so evident. We can’t wait to come back!”

Rachel Collier, group organiser from All Saints Hoole in Chester.

Thank you God!

We book our annual summer Carey Family Conference at Cloverley, our visit is truly the highlight of our year. Cloverley has everything we need and more, from caravan and camping sites to en-suite bedrooms in the hall. Cloverley provides a really safe space for our children to experience the freedom of the grounds, they love bringing their bicycles, scooters and skateboards.  The staff are so attentive and we are made to feel so welcome. Cloverley Hall is a real opportunity to escape from life, spend time with God and have great christian fellowship. Thank God for Cloverley Hall.”

A place where we are aware of the Holy Spirit

For almost forty years members of Beeches Evangelical Church, based in Great Barr, Birmingham, have booked Cloverley Hall for their annual weekend away.  Everyone always looks forward in eager anticipation to being there.  Folk arrive at the wonderful Christian conference centre in expectation of having a really blessed time.  They know they will be served by an amazingly friendly and helpful staff and will enjoy the restful tranquillity of the superb surroundings.  The location has always been one of the main factors of regular visits and especially as it is in easy reach of the church family and of invited guests living in the Midlands and north-western conurbations.  Over the years there have been a number of changes which have been appreciated.  The additions to facilities have been very much welcomed.  The main reason for coming year after year is the fact that the presence of the Holy Spirit both indoors and outdoors at the Hall is so obvious and this lifts everyone up.”
